Pan Server
Calls:
In order to be able to follow the rules you need to understand some of the basic calls and know their name:
2-call: Friendly call (Heart-symbol on voice wheel)
3-call: Threat call (Lightning-symbol on voice wheel)
4-call: Alert call (Exclamation mark-symbol on voice wheel)

Rule 1: Respectful Behavior
1.1 Discrimination, hate speech, harassment, or insulting jokes targeting against disability, gender, maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation is not allowed on this server.
1.2 If you have a grievance with a player, please take the conversation to a whisper (/w username message) or through DMS on discord
1.3 Do not blackmail, threaten, stalk, exclusively disturb, DDos, dox, raid, scam or bribe any member.
1.4 Please try to keep chat to English only, that way we can all understand each other.
1.5 Be respectful towards each other.
1.6 Please try to keep talking about other servers to a bare minimum.
1.7 We do not allow any toxicity in chat, this includes excessive swearing, insults and instigative comments.
1.8 Do not location drop. (Ex: Hey guys, there is an allosaurus in Green Valley.) You can however, location yourself at your own risk.
1.9 You are not allowed to target specific players. (Ex: Oh look, its so and so's Allosaurus, lets hunt them.) Apex rule is excluded.

Rule 2: Dinosaur Behaviours
2.1 Carnivores and Herbivores do not work together. No scouting for your friend that is not in your group.
2.2 No killing on sight (KOS). Only exception is if you are a carnivore and your hunger is 50%. This is known as a hunt. (More about hunting in RULE #3).
2.3 You have to 3 call as a herbivore 3 times before attacking first when you feel threatened. If whoever you feel threatened by runs away before being attacked, or 4 calls while being attacked, you need to leave them be. If you are bitten first, without 3 calling, you are allowed to defend yourself and ignore every attempt to disengage.
2.4 In addition to 2.3, to accept a contest/fight, you must respond to their 3 call with a 3 call of your own. If you do not respond with a 3 call within the time they 3 call 3 times, you immediately lose ownership of that resource. (Corpses, Bushes, and Fishing rights.) DO NOT walk up to dinosaurs and 3 call them to initiate a fight. That violates personal space.
2.5 If you or your party loses a fight, (hunt, contest etc) to another individual or party, you can no longer hunt, contest or in any way harm them for 10 minutes. If you do so within the 10 minute cooldown timer, it will be counted as revenge.
2.6 No revenge killing. If you or your party loses a fight (hunt, contest etc) to another individual or party, fighting stops and whoever lost their groupmate can lay no claim on that body, nor contest or protect that body from other dinosaurs.
2.7 In addition to 2.5 and 2.6, you cannot log onto another dinosaur to contest your body or your groupmates body. You also cannot hunt the party that you lost against within the 10 minute cooldown timer.
2.8 Hard logged dinosaurs do not count as a player anymore and cannot be protected by their former group, or the owner of the body on a different dinosaur.
2.9 Fighting or hunting is not allowed near homecaves or waystones. You cannot run to a homecave or waystone while being hunted.
2.10 Favoritism is not allowed.
2.11 If a member of your group commits a rule break, do not engage with them or try to fix it by yourself. ALWAYS contact a helper or make a ticket in the discord.
2.12 In a fight, hunt or contest, if a player dies, this is considered a body down and the fighting MUST stop and the party that lost a member has lost the engagement.

Rule 3: Hunting (not to be confused with fighting in rule #4)
3.1 As a carnivore, you can hunt another dinosaur if your hunger is 50% or below. Herbivores cannot hunt. (Kill herbivore quest is not a reason to start a hunt.)
3.2 Hunts are not announced. You're not allowed to 3 call before or during a hunt. (To be safe, it's always best to not make any calls during a hunt.)
3.3 You cannot start a hunt with a body down in your current POI. (Point of Interest.) It is your job as a player to make sure that there is not a body down in your POI before you start a hunt. While it is not required, a simple way to avoid breaking this rule is always asking if there is a body down. (Ex: Bd gp? or Body down Grand Plains?) You may, however, continue your hunt if another body is called during your hunt.
3.4 Hunts continue until it is ended by death or full disengagement. If you successfully disengage, and there is a body called during your hunt, you must wait until body is gone to start another hunt.
3.5 Full disengagement means that both parties have left combat, either by one party successfully escaping, one party is completely disengaged for 1 full minute, or all members from both parties sit down.
3.6 You are not allowed to interfere in an ongoing hunt. This means you cannot attack any member of each party that is involved in a hunt. You are not allowed to help a dinosaur that is not in your group in a hunt. You may, however, take over a hunt if both parties have disengaged after 1 full minute.
3.7 If a terrestrial dinosaur touches water during a hunt, a fully aquatic or semi aqautic dinosaur can take over the hunt. This is called a opportunistic hunt. The aquatic dinosaur must meet hunting requirements.
3.8 During a hunt, you are not allowed to use water for defensive purposes such as water camping. True semi aquatics, (Spinosaurus, Deinocheirus, Suchomimus, and Sarcosuchus) are exempt from this rule.
3.9 If you are being hunted, you're only allowed to go into water if you will be able to escape by swimming to the other side. If you drown or die while trying to escape across water, it is considered body denial.
3.10 If you are being hunted, you cannot run to a homecave or waystone.
3.11 When you or your party has completed a successful hunt, all members MUST eat until your hunger bar is full, the body is gone, or you have been contested away. You are not allowed to just sit there and let it disintegrate. (Falls under KOS).
3.12 Bodies that are unable to be eaten without swimming do not count as a body down for terrestial dinosaurs.

Rule 4: Aggressive behaviour and Fighting (Not to be confused with hunting in rule #3)
4.1 Fighting is only allowed when it meets the conditions of Rule #5 or Rule #6.
4.2 To start a fight, both parties must have a chance to agree to the fight, or walk away. To accept a contest, you must respond to their 3 call with a 3 call of your own. If you do not respond with a 3 call by the time they 3 call 3 times, you immediately lose the contest, and cannot contest for 10 minutes.
4.3 A fight/contest stops once a full party of those involved 4 calls. ALL members must 4 call, or any member can still be attacked.
4.4 In addition to 4.3, water contests go on until all members of one party leaves the water, or a member of one party dies. Whoever lost the member, lost the contest and must leave the water. Losing party cannot recontest for 10 minutes, or reenter the water. IF they decide to reenter, they can be attacked immediately with no warning. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.
4.5 You are not allowed to fake friendly call someone before attacking them. This gives a false sense of security.
4.6 You can call off a contest by 2 calling, 4 calling or completely disengaging. Once a contest is called off, that party that lost cannot contest the winning party for 10 minutes.
4.7 If a party ignores the call for a contest (Only when owning a corpse or a body of water) and doesn't react or retreat after being 3 called 3 times, they can be attacked.
4.8 If both parties of a fight move away from each other and lay down to heal, or stop chasing/attacking all together, they are counted as disengaged. Either party cannot reengage after 1 full minute of disengagement, and must wait 10 minutes to continue. (Herbivores cannot just attack after 10 minutes.) Other parties can take over after 1 full minute of disengagement.
4.9 You cannot target a player or group that is involved in a fight. (Hunts, contests, fights etc.)

Rule 5: Contesting & Territory
5.1 You can defend or contest over the following resources within 15m/50ft by following Rule #4. If you are contesting a resource, you must remain in the contest zone if you want to continue the contest. If you move out of the contest zone, the contest is considered over.
5.2 As a carnivore, you're allowed to claim 15m/50ft around a body that you own.
5.3 As a herbivore, you're allowed to claim 15m/50ft around a bush that you own.
5.4 If you are holding a resource, you and your party need to stay within the contest area. If you choose to leave the contest area, you lose that resource and will have to recontest for ownership. If you do not own the resource, you cannot attack players that are stealing from said resource. Only as the owner, can you attack players for stealing after 3 calling them once.
5.5 As a fully aquatic or semi aqautic dinosaur, you are able to contest other fully aqautic or semi aqautic dinosaurs over a body of water. (Must follow contesting rules.) If they are not touching water, they cannot be contested. You cannot block any dinosaur from drinking water.
5.6 In addition to 5.5, Spinosaurus and Deinocheirus are required to contest each other first.
5.7 You're not allowed to claim drop off spots for quests, quest resources unless they are in your personal space, or critter burrows.
5.8 You can try to steal from a corpse without contesting, at your own risk. The owner may attack you without 3 calling, but only in the contest area. You cannot fight back if attacked for stealing.
5.9 If a hunt, contest or fight occurs near you, it overwrites your personal space and you must move out of their way. You are not allowed to 3 call them or attack them if they are involved in a fight. This counts as interfering. 5.10 If a food source is being contested over, and you continue to eat without reacting to the contest, the contestant may attack after 3 uninterrupted 3 calls. You are not allowed to eat during a contest that you are participating in. When you are contesting a body, one member of your group has to 3 call 3 times. That means atleast one member has to 3 call 3 times. Not each member 3 calling once.
5.11 In addition to 5.10, if you are the owner of a body, it is your job to let other dinosaurs know if you are or are not sharing. If you do not want to share your body, you MUST 3 call anyone that approaches.
5.12 Camptosaurus and Struthiomimus are immune to the contest rules. They cannot be contested away from resources or attacked for eating a bush.
5.13 Camptosausus and Struthiomimus can contest each other for resources.
5.14 You cannot prevent players from drinking water.
5.15 Contests cannot be turned into a hunt. If you are hungry, you must disengage from contest, wait the 1 minute disengage timer, then you can hunt them.

Rule 6: Other reasons for aggressive behaviour
6.1 Personal space (15m/50ft) must be maintained at all times.
6.2 You are allowed to act aggressively (following Rule #4) if a dinosaur shows threatening behavior towards you. Following behaviors include stalking a dinosaur, sneaking towards a dinosaur or running directly at a dinosaur.
6.3 You are allowed to act aggressively (following Rule #4) if a dinosaur that is not in your group enters your personal space (within 15m/50ft.) If you or your party has juvenile/adolescent members, your personal space doubles to 25m/100ft.
6.4 If someone that is not part of your group enters your personal space, you MUST contest them away, or move away.
6.5 You can challenge group members for alpha position or fight over a mate. These fights should not end with a death.
6.6 When a body is claimed, favoritism is now allowed. If you own a body and choose not to share it, you must contest everyone or no one. You cannot choose who you let eat and who you don't. Scavengers are exempt. 6.7 In addition to 6.6, water contests are similar. Contest everyone, or no one. You cannot choose who you let stay in water or who you kick out.
Rule 7: Groups
7.1 Your group in game is your family. You protect them, hunt and fight for them, and spend time with them.
7.2 No mixpacking. You can only group with your own species, following the group limits.
7.3 You cannot add another member to your party while you are midhunt/midfight. This means ANY sort of combat. You can add more members when combat is over.
7.4 You are not allowed to hunt group members.
7.5 You cannot help, protect, or feed any dinosaur that is not in your group.
Rule 8: Realism
8.1 Terrestrial Apex Carnivores must hunt and contest other Terrestrial Apex Carnivores in their POI (Point of Interest). If there are no other Terrestrial Apex Carnivores in your POI, you can hunt or contest freely. If you are an Terrestrial Apex Carnivore, and there is a body down in the area that you are in, you cannot contest that body if there is another Terrestrial Apex Carnivore in the area unless it is the owner of the body.
8.2 Apex Semi-Aquatics (Spinosaurus & Deinocheirus) are obligated to contest and hunt competing Apex Semi-Aquatics sharing their body of water.
8.3 Mosasaurus, if in the river system of Gondwa, are required to contest and hunt competing Apex Semi-Aquatics sharing their body of water. If in the ocean, they are able to contest or hunt any creature.
8.4 If you are a dinosaur younger than the sub-adult growth stage, you are unable to participate in contesting, hunts or other fights as long as you have sub-adults or older in your pack/herd.
8.5 Meat shredding is not allowed. If you pick up a piece of meat, you must be able to eat it or carry it until you can eat it. Do not drop it.

9. General disclaimer about all rules
We try our best to have the right balance with our rules to create a realism server that is enjoyable for the players. Too few rules and things get out of control. Too many rules and the game is no longer enjoyable. But hitting the right balance is quite a challenge and adjustments might be needed to get there. Therefore, there will be changes to the rules now and again.
