Ok, this was a challenging weekend. It was amazing to see that so many of you showed up to play and we had so many new arrivals too. Welcome to all of you who joined our community just recently. Unfortunately having the server run on full capacity for most of the weekend showed us some of the limits we’re facing. Both the limits on what the server and the helpers team can handle. So, we had to take some measurements. Here is all you need to know about what’s new on Pan right now:
- Max. Player count has been reduced to 85. The old cap of 100 players was just too much for the server to handle and it caused some serious lag and rubber banding issues.
- We had to remove the Argentino-Mod. But removing the mod means a wipe of all the dinosaurs. We asked the player base in a poll on discord if we should still do it and 90% of the votes were in favor of it. So, the mod has been removed now and the dinosaurs wiped.
- To compensate for the loss of your Dinosaurs, we will have a much faster growth rate for one week, so you have a chance to quickly regrow your Dinos. Skins that have been bought before the wipe are still available and can be used on your new Dinos.
- We will have an Event of the week from now on. This week’s event is the Fast growth week. But from next week these events will be RP Scenarios.
- We added new Helpers to the team. They will be on a trial period for one week and if they have proven themselves, they will join the helper team officially. The new Trial-helpers are Romanthicc, Cicidee, Wendigo89 and SpinoGaming.
- We made quite a few updates on the homepage, including this news section and more. Plus, from now on you can apply on this page if you’re interested in becoming a helper. Please fill out the form on the Subpage Helper Application.
